KanPassIt is a free study platform for professional certification and licensure exams. It started as a personal project — I was studying for the AB-900 (Microsoft 365 Copilot & Agent Administration) certification myself and built a quiz tool to prep for it. Once it was working well for that, I expanded it to cover other exams people study for, including the NCLEX nursing licensure exams, SHRM's HR certifications, and GitHub's Copilot certification.

Why It's Free

Exam prep materials and practice tests are often expensive, especially for licensure exams like the NCLEX where a passing score has real career consequences. KanPassIt is free to use because I don't think good practice questions should be locked behind a paywall. The app is supported by minimal, unobtrusive advertising instead of subscription fees, and there's also a local-only guest mode that doesn't require an account at all.

How the Content Works

KanPassIt combines a hand-built question bank with AI-generated practice questions (using Anthropic's Claude models) targeted at whatever domains you're weakest in. Every quiz is weighted to match the real exam's actual domain breakdown — for example, NCLEX-RN questions are split across Physiological Integrity, Safe & Effective Care, Psychosocial Integrity, and Health Promotion in roughly the same proportions as the real exam.

Because incorrect information in a nursing or medical question could genuinely mislead someone studying for a licensure exam, AI-generated clinical questions (NCLEX-RN, NCLEX-PN, CNA) go through an extra self-verification step against authoritative sources before they're shown to users. This app is a study aid, not a substitute for an accredited exam-prep course, and it doesn't guarantee any particular exam result.

Each subject includes domain-weighted quizzes, a pass-likelihood estimate based on your performance, weak-area drilling, and an AI-generated study analysis of where to focus next.
