KanPassIt ("we," "us," or "our") operates the KanPassIt exam prep application available at kanpassit.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

• Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password via our authentication provider, Supabase.
• Quiz Progress Data: We store your quiz answers, accuracy rates, attempt counts, and domain performance scores to power your personalized study experience.
• API Keys: If you enter a Claude API key to enable AI analysis features, it is stored locally in your browser's localStorage and is never transmitted to our servers.
• Usage Data: We may collect information about how you interact with the app, including pages visited and features used, to improve the service.
• Device Information: Standard browser and device information (browser type, operating system, screen size) may be collected automatically.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the KanPassIt service
• To sync your progress across devices when you are signed in
• To personalize your study experience based on your performance data
• To send important service-related communications (account verification, password resets)
• To display relevant advertisements through Google AdSense
• To analyze usage patterns and improve app features

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for the following purposes:

• Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and to maintain your session while signed in (provided by Supabase).

• Advertising Cookies: We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our free tier. We retain your account and progress data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@kanpassit.com. Locally stored data (localStorage) can be cleared through your browser settings.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Authentication is managed by Supabase using secure, salted password hashing. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

KanPassIt is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:

• The right to access the data we hold about you
