Welcome to KanPassIt. By accessing or using our application at kanpassit.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using KanPassIt in any way — including as a guest — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

KanPassIt is an AI-powered exam preparation application that provides:

• Multiple-choice quiz questions for certification exams (AB-900, LVN NCLEX-PN, SHRM-CP, and others)
• Adaptive performance tracking and domain analysis
• AI-powered study recommendations via the Claude API
• Progress sync across devices for registered users

KanPassIt is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN), SHRM, or any certification body.

3. User Accounts

To access cross-device progress sync, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account use

You may use the application as a guest without creating an account. Guest progress is stored locally in your browser and is not backed up.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to scrape, copy, or reproduce the question banks or application content
• Attempt to circumvent any security measures or access controls
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service
• Distribute, sell, or sublicense access to the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service

5. Intellectual Property

All content within KanPassIt — including but not limited to quiz questions, explanations, design, code, and branding — is the property of KanPassIt and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without express written permission.

6. No Guarantee of Exam Passage

KanPassIt is a study aid designed to help you prepare for certification exams. We make no guarantee that use of this application will result in passing any exam. Exam outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. Always refer to official study materials and resources from the certification body for authoritative content.

7. Third-Party Services and Advertising

The free tier of KanPassIt displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. These ads are provided by Google and its advertising partners. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements. Ad personalization is governed by Google's privacy policies.

KanPassIt may also integrate with third-party services including Supabase (authentication and data storage) and the Anthropic Claude API (AI analysis). Use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

KanPassIt is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Your use of the service is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KanPassIt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@kanpassit.com.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
